Dollies Dressmaker Concern

Hmm... I e-mailed her about Holiday dresses a couple of weeks ago. Her reply didn't sound like she was planning on quiting. Maybe she wants to use a different service for her website and in order to do that had to let her domain lapse? It just seems weird. If she were totally quitting, wouldn't she want to at least sell all of her dresses so she doesn't have a loss?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">She wouldn't let her domaine name lapse just because she wanted to change to a different host. As things stand right now, anyone can pick up that domaine and do business using it. Since she's established her business under that name, it wouldn't make any sense to let it go.

She just had an auction end yesterday, so it seems like she's at least all right. I contacted her through eBay because the email address I have for her is based out of the expired domain name and I was afraid it wouldn't go through. I'll let you know if she responds.

I just went to the dollies dressmaker site, as I do from time to time to see what's new, and got a page saying the domaine name has expired. I checked again and it doesn't seem to be a mistake. Does anyone know if Cindy is aware of this? It's got to be an oversight, if true. I can't imagine her not sewing.

I just checked WhoIs and the site was due to expire on 12/11. If Cindy meant to renew it, something must have gone wrong.

I hope she is ok!!! Maybe she just is sooo busy that she forgot to renew it and will do so soon??

I heard back from Cindy. She is fine; she just didn't get her renewel notices because they were being sent to a deleted email account. She says that everything has been taken care of and now it's just a matter of waiting for the website to come back online. Hopefully her site will be back up soon. [img]smile.gif[/img]
